Pension Member Account Statements Mailed in March

The Wyoming Retirement System mails out nearly 50,000 statements to our active and inactive members in March. These statements contain important information regarding your retirement benefits through our Pension systems. Included in these packets are a "How to Read this Statement" guide to help you understand the statement.

One question you may have is "Why does the statement's annual benefit differ from the official estimate I just received?" The answer to that is the Total Estimated Annual Benefit on your statement is generated by using only your current year salary as your highest average salary. Your actual retirement benefit will be based on the average of the highest salary you received during three continuous years.

If you are an inactive member (you are not currently employed by a participating agency), your statement will not have shown a Total Estimated Annual Benefit. If you would like to receive an unofficial calculation, please visit our online Benefit Calculators.
