Pension Plan Handbooks

These supplemental handbooks answer frequently asked questions about a member's pension plan. You may download it now (.pdf format), or email pension@wyo.gov to request a hard copy. Please note that Plan A Paid Firefighter Pension, EMT and Judicial Pension Plans do not have handbooks.

Retirement Guide

  • Retirement Guide - The WRS Retirement Guide is a member's "instruction manual" to retirement benefits that come from the Pension and from the Deferred Compensation Plan. All new employees should receive this guide when hired. You may download it now, call (307) 777-7691 or email 457pln@wyo.gov to request a hard copy.

  • Employer Manual: This manual is intended to provide information to participating employers of the Wyoming Retirement System.

457 Deferred Compensation Plan Publications

  • The Roth 457 Option - A one-page explanation of the after-tax option available in the 457 Plan as of January 1, 2012.
  • The Roth Option: Is It Right for You? - A four-page FAQ about the after-tax option available in the 457 Plan as of January 1, 2012.
    Investment Options at a Glance - A four-page document containing a short description of each investment option with current and historical return information.
  • Fund Overview - A booklet containing an information sheet for each fund in the plan.

Comprehensive Annual Financial Report

The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is published in June of each year. So, the CAFR for 2009 will be published on this page in June 2010.
